I created Life Stories Online as a way for clients to create their online memoirs, thus providing their descendants and friends an organized and efficient way to learn about key moments and relationships in their lives.
These memoirs will be designed to achieve specific goals. In their simplest form, they could be an historical accounting of the different stages of life, and once completed, will remain fairly static. But if clients have more ambitious goals, such as providing a perspective on current affairs, or other specific areas of interest, they might consider adding a blog, which they would maintain according to whatever schedule they might deem appropriate.
If they are interested in two-way conversations, they might wish to add a feedback form, and invite those with similar input to share their views and experiences, much as they would on social media. But unlike social media, the client can customize the way this feedback appears on the site, and create categories as needed.
Once we design a site that meets the client’s needs, we can offer to train them how to keep the site fresh, not only with new content, but through style changes that are engaging and pleasing to the eye. This can be done without any background in computers or programming, thus allowing the client to maintain full control, while minimizing costs.
